Graduation Day!
17th Annual Graduation Day 2019
The 17th annual graduation will take place on July 11th.
This year's keynote speaker will be the Reverend Carmel Cox Harwell, the pastor at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church. Her service to the community is extensive. Rev Carmel has worked for several years as a mentor to higher-risk children, youth, and adult gang members through the East Cleveland Jail Diversion Program in East Cleveland, Ohio, providing assistance in the areas of counseling and spiritual development; and as a member of the Pittsburgh Public Schools Gang Free Schools and Community Task Force. She is active in local community outreach as a member of the Committee on Ministry of the Presbytery of the Western Reserve; member, God Before Guns (a grassroots community organization seeking to eradicate gun violence) and she serves as a reading tutor to 6th graders at the Warrensville Heights Middle School. Cox Harwell received the 2018 Imani Award for Faith at our Evening with the Stars award banquet and holiday gala. |

Our keynote speaker for 2018 was Jan Thrope, author and founder of Inner Visions of Cleveland. She was a 2014 honoree at our Evening with the Stars award banquet and holiday gala.
Her non-profit organization's mission is to discover, support and promote community improvement projects that are conceived, and led by Cleveland and East Cleveland residents.
