WHAT WE DO
ASC³ was established to implement positive initiatives, which provides empowering technology resources to greater Cleveland residents (young adults 18-40 mature adults 45-64, and senior citizens 65 and older). The humanitarian-centered philosophy of ASC³ provides a nurturing atmosphere conducive for clients to learn and thrive, regardless of educational and/or financial barriers. With an “Intergenerational Learning” component in our programs, we further assist in closing the gap and decreasing disparities in the use and understanding of technology for our mature adults, elders and youth. The mission of ASC³ will be fulfilled when use of technology in under-served communities is demystified and no longer viewed as a threat or something foreign used by others. Participants of ASC³ gain a basic understanding of computer concepts, learn to operate the computer, and learn how to use the Internet efficiently. The ultimate goal is to enhance the quality of their lives through application of technical knowledge, access and hands on experience. |
