Dr. Gladys West
Dr. Gladys West is responsible for the GPS Global Positioning System. She was born in Richmond Virginia October 27,1930. Her mother and father were tobacco field workers. She wanted to get an education to be able to have a better life for herself. She studied hard in school and earned good grades. She learned that the valedictorian and valedictorian and salutatorian from her high school would earn a scholarship to Virginia State College, she studied hard and graduated at the top of her class. She got her free ticket to collage, majored in math and taught two years in Sussex County before she went back to school for her master’s degree.
We are truly blessed to have been introduced to all of the Black people throughout history.
And to be able to write about them.
The ASC3 Digital Literacy Computer Center is brought to the community by Mrs. Wanda Davis who is truly dedicated to the mission to helping other people improve their lives, and make a difference in society.
