ASC3 is implementing a new initiative, Connect-2-Lead, aimed at E-POWERing (electronically empowering) our city’s volunteer community leaders. The program will provide participants with free computers, technology training and low-cost Internet service, which will enable them to more efficiently communicate with and serve their communities.
ASC3 will collaborate with local organizations to recruit neighborhood community leaders that have shown great potential in forging strong communal relationships. Connect-2-Lead will recruit up to 30 grassroots leaders who have demonstrated a commitment in serving their neighborhoods and who will pledge to complete the program. We need your help in order for this valuable project to become reality. Please join us as we launch our first on-line campaign, with the goal of raising $5,000. Make a donation online. As of October 31, 2015 Sprint is discontinuing the WiMAX Internet service that [ASC3] currently offers through Mobile Citizen. The good news is that Sprint is replacing the WiMAX network with a 4G LTE network that is expected to be faster and to offer expanded coverage. Unfortunately, our new LTE network offering will not be ready for full implementation in time and many of our current customers are going to experience a lapse in Internet service on or before October 31, 2015. We do not know when we will be able to provide the LTE offer to all of our customers. In the meantime, please hold on to your device. When the new LTE network offer is available you may need to exchange your current WiMAX modem for a new LTE modem. You can periodically check call internet service hot line 216-202-4292 for any new updates! Thanks for your patience during this transition period. |
